My Testamony

 

First of all, I have to give Thanks to God, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I would also like to give thanks to my wife who brought me back to Christ. 

 

Hello, and God Bless. My name is Richard Smith. I live in a small farming community north of Topeka, Kansas, just outside of Holton, Kansas.

 

Before I met my wife, I was a 2nd time divorced, single father of 3. My first marriage went down the crap shoot, basically, she was a wild, crazy party animal, and not to mention had an affair on me. My second wife wasn't a wild, crazy party animal, but she did end up having an affair on me with my brother. This hit me hard. I had worked so hard to support my family, and give them all they needed, and it just didn't seem to work. Now, two woman had went outside of our marriage and had sexual relations, and as an unsaved, ignorant of God's word person, now went through 2 divorces.

 

I ended up injuring my lower back at work, lost my job, then in the mist of all this, while almost healed from the work injury, I was hit head on by a drunk driver who was also High on marijuana. She was killed instantly, my right knee badly damaged, and re-injured my lower back. I sought after treatment, needless to say, Dr's say "Athletes live with it, you can too". This is when it really hit me hard. My life was falling apart. I finally started drinking heavily, partying myself. I became my first wife, sort of speak. Couple years went by, I met my current wife(we was only dating at the time). Me, Still living the party life. I was so bad into drinking that I would drink a 30 pack a day by myself, and this was just on normal days. This was not including parties I would have to go to. 

 

We started arguing more, fighting, etc... Couple years later she managed to stick by my side somehow, but after another big fight she told me, "Change, Or I'm leaving for good." It was then it hit me... I may lose another woman I loved dearly, this time, it was going to be my fault... I had no one else to blame for this but myself and the drinking. So, I quit drinking. Gave it up cold turkey. I turned to God to help with the struggles I had, and he amazingly pulled me through with no fall backs. I didn't really study the bible to say, just read it off and on and prayed for his guidance. 

 

Two years later, about 6 months after being engaged to her, I really started to study the Bible. I have always believed there was a God, and for some strange reason I always was drawn to the KJV Bible. . Now I wouldn't always use it. I also used an NIV, or ESV (which is the bible my wife's church uses). I was Ignorant of the History of the Bible, and the text which they were based off of, the different versions, and where they came from. I didn't know there was a difference other than the Name that was on the Bible. Not only that, But I was ignorant in Gods words. I couldn't tell you the difference between doctrine, and simple teachings throughout the Bible. Basically all I knew was pretty much the same things kids know. Story of Moses, Noah, and Jesus. The basics. 

 

During my studies, I started to get confused because NIV and ESV read one way, and the KJV read it another way. But I came across these two verses in the KJV, and it hit me hard and they have stuck with me. It was in the Book of Matthew when Christ was speaking. 

 

 Matthew 7: [21] Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. [22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? [23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

 

I was like, all these people claim to know the truth, and they all claim to have the path to salvation. But according to these 3 verses, not all will enter. Finally, I broke down and prayed to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and said something along the lines of the following:

 

"Father, I know you are real, and I come to you as a sinner, asking forgiveness of my sins. Father, I am confused... All I ask is to seek the Truth. Father you said, Ask and it shall be given, seek and you shall find. Father I am asking, and seeking for the truth of your word. There are so many stories, fakes, false prophets, church buildings, books, and they all claim to hold the truth, and they all say something different. I just ask for the truth... Father I pray all this in the name of your Son, My Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, AMEN". 

 

Now this prayer (not exactly word for word every time), went on for a week maybe two. Then somehow searching for the Truth about God's word, I came across this video by a guy named "Bryan Denlinger" (Forgive me if I spelled this wrong), who goes by "Husky394xp" on youtube. The video was called "From NIV to KJV" parts 1 and 2. God showed me and opened my eyes.

 

The more I studied, the more I learned. Where the text for the NIV, ESV, RSV, ASV, and all these NEW modern bibles came from. And the Text which the KJV came from. The history behind both sides, and all who was involved. Needless to say, the FACTS, and EVIDENCE led me to stick with the KJV. And crazy enough, the most detailed facts that changed me to the KJV permanently was the study of the Bible itself and what God says about Egypt and Antioch throughout the whole Bible and how God feels about His word(s). 

 

Now with all this information and studying the bible version issue, Manuscript history and evidence, and even a little about Baptism. I haven't yet studied the Denominations of different churches. I did know, Catholicism was fake and false, along with Jehovah Witnesses. I started to join my wife's Lutheran church to become a member which I didn't know a lot about the Lutheran Church at this time. While going through their "Adult" study class, in the beginning, they taught just as the Bible teaches (meaning the basics of the Gospels) but the further we went into the study as time went on, I started to see them drift from what the Bible teaches to their own "Belief" system that wasn't even taught, mentioned or even practiced in the Bible. 

 

Now as before we got to the section of Baptism, I studied the book of Acts, Romans, and Corinthians. During the next class, I got this nasty feeling that what they was teaching, just wasn't right. I started to ask questions, and quoting verses right from the Bible, and asked how they came up with their "beliefs" because again, it wasn't mentioned, practiced, or taught in the Bible. At this time, seems only thing we could agree on was we believers would be "Caught Up" (The Rapture) before "Jacobs Trouble" or "Daniels 70th Week". Commonly known today as "The Great Tribulation". 

 

Anyway, we was going over "Baptism" and how they believe little infant babies and young children should be water baptized and by sprinkling. I asked for one, *just one* verse that clearly says anywhere in the bible that "mentions, taught/teaches, or practiced" infant and young children "Sprinkling" baptism. Needless to say to make a longer story shorter, they got rude, snotty, of course all defensive because I just undermined the pastors authority because simply HE COULD NOT ANSWER MY QUESTION... Why??? Because there is not one verse to support their beliefs. See, the Bible clearly teaches *One must hear and understand the Gospel, One must Believe The Gospel, One must REPENT of their sins, One Must Confess Christ, Then one can be Baptized in the Name of Jesus. Of course they won't tell you that, Baptism isn't for us today, "The Church" AKA "Body of Christ". 

 

In class when the Pastor couldn't answer the question about infant baptism, instead he quoted (Matthew 28:19)  "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:". He then stated, "Teach all nations". We perceive this as men, woman, and children (which this is always thrown at me again and again when it comes to these guy's false teachings of baptisms). 

 

No way can you interprit "ALL NATIONS" as as "Infant" and "Children". Ignorance... Their "Private Interpritation" is Blasphamy! But they also forget what was mentioned "FIRST"... That was "Teach". Not to mention, they skip and ignore Romans Chapter 5: [13] "(For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law." Meaning, Children and infants do not yet know or understand the Laws of God. Therefore they are not bound by sin. Paul tells us, it was the Laws of God that showed us sin. Thus, brings, "sin is not imputed when there is no law.)

 

Then the pastor wanted to say, see this says house holds were converted and was baptized... Yeah, but did it mentioned babies, infants or really young children? Because those verses about house hold conversions says. They "Heard the gospel, Believed, Repented of their sins". Lydia's Household (Acts Chapter 16) There is no support to even suggest she was married, let alone had an infant, little children etc... This is called ADDING TO THE WORD OF GOD, and MAKING OWN INTERPRITATIONS! Cornelius' household and other baptims in Acts (Acts chapter 10:, 11:, and 15:) are the same, "Heard the Gospel, Repented, and believed". Same with the Jailer's Household (Acts 16) and Staphanas' household and other baptisms. Not one shred of evidence to support "Infant" and "Little Children" "sprinkling" baptism. NOT ONE! Infact it says they "heard", "believed", "repented"... Babies and young children do not understand this... Specially what "repent" means (thus, brings us back to Romans 5:13). So it comes to this, they "privately Interpritate" scripture to fit their beliefs, rather than changing their beliefs to fit scripture."  2 Peter 1:20  "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation." It is, what it is, and says, what it says, You change it to fit your beliefs, your just as bad as those who CORRUPT the word of God, Teaching, practicing, and preaching a DIFFERENT GOSPEL, with A Different Christ Jesus! 

 

 Galatians 1:6-9  I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7  Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8  But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9  As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. 

 

Christ said in John 14:23  Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 

 

After much discussion and debate, the pastor got upset, didn't have anything to say, then some rude, Self-Righteous, man who holds high ranks in the church(other than the pastor, won't mention names) also made rude comments, and his wife and her snickerin laugh to his comment, slandering me for reading and studying the Bible on my own, and making accusations that I am receiving what the scripture teaches from the internet. Little did they know, All I did was read the Bible. See, this is the fruit this church puts out (Matthew 7:17-18). They act one way in "Church" (a building), but yet outside, they cuss, talk dirty, lust after material objects, live worldly lives, listen to Heavy metal and rock music, gangsta rap, etc... Support homosexual activities, drink, party... Can we say "hypocrites"? I know, I use to live that life until discovering the truth in the words of God. I wish I could go back in my life, and change those stupid things I use to do, but its too late, I must learn from my past, and it was the words of God who showed me my past was wrong. But most of those today, just ignore it, live as the world lives. Romans 12:2, And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 

 

They NEVER go out and preach the Gospel to the LOST as we are commanded to do. Teaching, Preaching to the LOST is what we are suppose to do... NOT sit in a fancy church, hoping and praying for only those that come in. Lost is not to come to you, you are to go to the lost! remember that passage the pastor shared with me that they thought supported baptism? (Matthew 28:19)  "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:"  They will corrupt it, and make interpretations out of it, but actually do what was commanded? All my years around this church, It has never been done. Instead they are more worried about their money, and this Big Fancy Church that the Anti-Christ will take over in the time of "Jacobs Trouble".  Spending all their time and money into keeping this building from collapsing, instead of using it to preach the Gospel to the lost sinners of the community, state, country or world. Not to mention, their so called faith in God, when they "Donate" then file it on taxes to get the money back. Thought the word of God said, it is better to give than to recieve? and that God loveth a cheerful giver?. Their 501(c)(3) bracket they hold, now the Government can command them from preaching the truth against homosexuality, etc... because when they sign those 501c3 forms, they agree to the terms and conditions of the Government. Jesus no longer is the Head of their church, the Government is... You no longer have the "freedom of speech".

 

The Johnson Amendment was passed by Congress in 1954 as an amendment to section 501(c)(3) of the federal tax code. The Johnson Amendment states that entities who are exempt from federal income tax cannot:

 

"Participate in, or intervene in (including the publishing or distributing of statements), any political campaign on behalf of – or in opposition to – any candidate for public office."  More on the Johnson Amendment <HERE>

 

Which means, you are now Governemnt Property. Governement has say over you, and they (The Government) can do as they please with your church. Perfect example - <See this article> See also <Here>

 

Continueing... After witnessing the rudeness from those in this "LCMS" Church in Holton, Kansas, when walking around with their nose stuck up in the air. Not all but a lot of them, and seeing and studying the bible and what they teach first hand. I left, and will never go back, UNLESS, they see truth, and start teaching, preaching, the TRUE GOSPEL of Jesus Christ. See, the Bible (Gods words) is the "FINAL AUTHORITY", not Man, and not their traditions. 

 

I pray these people see Truth, and follow Christ as he commanded Paul to teach to the Gentiles... Why Paul? Paul was the Apostle to who? The Gentiles... We are to live and follow the Gospel as he preached as Christ commanded him to. (See 1Cor 11:1; 1Cor 4:16; Phil 3:17; 1Thess 1:6; and 2 Thes 3:7, 9,) 

 

Now this no way, by any means, say that I have problems with my wife. If she wishes to continue to go to this church, that is fine. She is an adult and can choose. I do not support it, and she knows this, and I pray that God opens her eyes as He has done mine. But it is her decision. She is my wife, and I love her dearly, But God always comes first. As for me, I will stay home and I will continue studying the True Gospel and truth right here at home.

 

I know some people will be mad, upset at me, but it don't bother me at all... "Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth? (Galatians 4:16) . If the Truth hurts, Oh well. I hold the truth in my hands called the KJV Bible. I follow God, not man, and definatly not their "traditions"... 

Now, I am not here nor created this website to be a pastor. I am here simply sharing the word of God. We are all called to minister the truth of his words. To share the glory he has brought to us. Glory be to God, who is Blessed forever and ever, Amen!
